Protéger les cheveux des enfants des perturbateurs endocriniens

Pourquoi protéger les cheveux des enfants des perturbateurs endocriniens ? 

Ces substances, pour la plupart de synthèse, sont accusées de perturber le système hormonal. Elles provoqueraient ainsi des problèmes de reproduction, de croissance, de diabète, ou encore de sommeil. « Ayant une structure très proche de celle d’une hormone naturelle, le perturbateur endocrinien se fixe sur les récepteurs hormonaux qui tapissent nos cellules. 

Les enfants sont très sensibles aux perturbateurs endocriniens et les cosmétiques font partis des produits qui en contiennent le plus. 

Une étude révèlent que 34 molécules polluantes en moyenne ont été retrouvées par enfant (test sur 200 enfants). Au total, 254 substances « répertoriées comme des perturbateurs endocriniens potentiels ou avérés » étaient présentes dans de nombreux produits capillaires. Parmi elles, des phtalates, des pesticides, des bisphénols, des hydrocarbures aromatiques polycycliques (HAP, issus des combustions automobiles et de chauffage), des métaux lourds, des PCB (utilisés comme isolants électriques)… Certains, comme les PCB ou le bisphénol A, sont interdits en France, mais ont tout de même été retrouvés dans les échantillons, preuve de la persistance de ces molécules.

Nos conseils pour prendre soin des cheveux des enfants : 

L’hydratation : le cheveu bouclé, frisé est un cheveu sec par nature par rapport aux autres cheveux. Il ne faut donc pas hésiter à l’hydrater. D’autant plus qu’un cheveu hydraté sera plus facile à manipuler et donc à coiffer. Pour cela, utiliser un soin hydratant lorsque vous lavez les cheveux de votre enfant, et un coiffant hydratant pour renforcer l’hydratation au quotidien. 

Le Démélage : Un bon démêlage s’effectue en séparant les cheveux de votre enfant. L’idée est de coiffer partie par partie (vous pouvez séparer les cheveux en 4), et toujours démêler en partant des pointes et remonter jusqu’aux racines.

Le Massage : Pour palier au manque de sébum, n’hésitez pas à masser le cuir chevelu de votre enfant. Cela aura pour effet de stimuler les glandes sébacées qui produiront le sébum manquant aux cheveux bouclés, frisés.
